Terms and Conditions

1. Company Identification

BerlengaTur is a maritime tourism company based in Peniche, Portugal, duly registered in the National Register of Tourist Animation Agents (RNAAT), operating the connection between Peniche and Berlenga Island.

2. Bookings and Payment

2.1 Bookings can be made online through the platforms indicated on the website, by phone or in person at the BerlengaTur stand (Stand 3, Marina de Peniche).

2.2 Full payment is required at the time of booking.

2.3 Tickets and wristbands must be collected at the BerlengaTur stand at Marina de Peniche at least 40 minutes before departure.

3. Cancellations and Refunds

3.1 Cancellation by BerlengaTur: In the event of cancellation for operational, weather or maritime safety reasons, the customer is entitled to a full refund with no additional charges.

3.2 Cancellation by the customer: Refunds are only guaranteed with at least 48 hours’ notice before the travel date. Cancellations with less than 48 hours’ notice are non-refundable.

3.3 Refunds are processed via the original payment method within 10 business days.

4. Weather Conditions and Safety

4.1 BerlengaTur reserves the right to cancel or postpone trips for safety reasons, including adverse weather conditions, sea state or instructions from maritime authorities.

4.2 The decision to proceed with a trip rests solely with the captain, taking into account safety conditions at the time of departure.

5. BerlengasPass (ICNF)

5.1 Berlenga Island is a Marine Nature Reserve managed by ICNF. Access requires prior mandatory registration in the BerlengasPass system at berlengaspass.icnf.pt.

5.2 The BerlengasPass (ICNF) fee is not included in the ticket price and is the customer’s sole responsibility.

6. Civil Liability Insurance

BerlengaTur operates with mandatory civil liability insurance as required by Portuguese Decree-Law nº 108/2009 of 15 May, which governs tourist animation activities.

The insurance covers damages caused to third parties in the course of the company’s activities. For details on coverage and policy, contact us at reservas@berlengatur.com.

7. Liability and Limitations

6.1 BerlengaTur is not liable for damage to passengers’ personal belongings (phones, cameras, tablets or other electronic equipment).

6.2 Pets are not allowed on board, except certified guide dogs.

8. Complaints

BerlengaTur has an electronic complaints book, accessible at www.livroreclamacoes.pt.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by Portuguese law. For alternative consumer dispute resolution, please visit www.consumidor.gov.pt.
