Duration

Approximately 1h30 to 2h, usually in the morning. Meeting point at 10:45 at the Berlenga pier.

The dive

A dive in the sea, always accompanied by an instructor. Around 25 min underwater, at a depth between 6 and 12 metres.

Who it’s for

From age 10, with physical fitness and good general health. Ideal for those who want to add an unforgettable experience to their visit to Berlenga.

Certificate

You receive a digital PADI Discover Scuba Diving participation certificate (upon meeting the theoretical and practical requirements).

The experience

Discover Berlenga in an even more complete way.

This activity combines the best of two worlds: the boat trip to the island with BerlengaTur and the chance to try scuba diving, accompanied by professionals from Haliotis. You don’t need certification to take part in PADI Discover Scuba Diving — during the experience you learn the basic safety rules, get to know the equipment and discover what it’s like to breathe underwater.

How it works

After the trip to the island, the experience is divided into two stages.

Theory session + eLearning

A brief theory session led by a professional before the dive. There is also a theoretical component and form-filling (including the medical form) done via eLearning, lasting 20 to 30 minutes.

Discover Scuba Diving in the sea

A dive always accompanied by an instructor underwater. Once submerged, it lasts about 25 minutes, at a depth between 6 and 12 metres. You also have time on the boat and at the surface to get familiar.

Requirements

Be at least 10 years old
Physical fitness and good general health
Validate the diver medical questionnaire

Before booking, please review the diver medical questionnaire. Medical authorisation is only required if you answer «Yes» to questions 3, 5 or 10 on page 1, or to any question on page 2. The form is completed on the eLearning platform.

Cancellation policy

A 50% payment is required at registration; the remaining 50% on the day of the activity.
The advance payment is refunded for cancellations made 24h or more in advance, or you can reschedule the activity at no cost.
Cancellations with less than 24h notice, without legal grounds, mean the 50% paid is not refunded.
There are no discounts or refunds for personal reasons (cold, seasickness, tiredness and other physical or psychological conditions during the activity) — review the medical form before booking.
Haliotis may cancel with 18h notice for reasons of force majeure (e.g. weather conditions).
